[fsfe-it] Team per la Trasformazione Digitale del governo italiano

Ciao a tutti,

è possibile lo scorso febbraio abbiate letto della nomina di Diego
Piacentini a “Commissario Straordinario per l’attuazione dell'Agenda
Digitale”[1].

Piacentini ha appena iniziato il suo lavoro[2a][2b] e in particolare
ha creato un team chiamato "Team per la Trasformazione Digitale" per
il quale sono aperte numerose posizioni[3] per vari ruoli da
"Cybersecurity", a  "Mobile developer", a "Big Data Architect".

Credo che sia molto importante che queste posizioni siano diffuse su
questi canali perché ritengo sia fondamentale che queste posizioni
siano occupate da persone che conoscano il software libero e i suoi
principi. Questo team lavorerà a stretto contatto con il governo
italiano e quindi sarà in una posizione per cui potrà - in teoria,
almeno - influenzarne sia le policy, che le pratiche. Penso in
particolare al software che poi sarà utilizzato da tutti i cittadini.

Le posizioni aperte non parlano in particolare di software libero (ma
solo di "software open source"), quindi credo che la prospettiva del
software libero possa e debba arrivare dai candidati. Al momento non
c'è alcun impegno specifico da parte del governo rispetto al software
libero a parte quanto contenuto nel "Codice dell'Amministrazione
Digitale" (CAD), che però ha visto qualche passo indietro con le
recenti modifiche[4].

Penso che se questo team fosse composto da persone che hanno a cuore
il software libero allora sarebbe meglio per tutti.

You may have read some months ago that in February 2016 Italian Prima
Minister Matteo Renzi has nominated Amazon.com exec Diego Piacentini
as “Commissario Straordinario per l’attuazione dell'Agenda Digitale”
("Extraordinary Commissioner for the realization of the Digital
Agenda") - see for example the news in Reuters[1] and the Seattle
Times[2].

Piacentini activities have just began with the formation of a new
Digital Transformation Team for which he has opened new positions[3]
for various roles from "Cybersecurity", to "Mobile developer", to "Big
Data Architect".

I believe that it is of paramount importance that
free-software-conscious people should know about these positions and
possibly apply for them. The positions are open for candidates from
Italy and abroad. This team will be in a position of being part of the
Italian government and could steer several Italian policies about
software, not to mention the creation services that will be used by
all Italian citizens

The positions do not mention free software (just "open source
software"), so I believe that the free software perspective should be
brought in by the candidates. There is no commitment at the moment by
the Italian
government of producing only free software (there have been some
developments with the "Codice dell'Amministrazione Digitale" ("Digital
Administration Code"), but recently a new reform has been a step back.

I believe that if this team is composed by people that value software
freedom then we in Italy will be better off.
