Right. Another point to include is that whatever new solution
organisations acquire, they should always figure in the future
costs of getting out of that solution again in, say, five years
in the future. After all, nothing in IT lasts forever.

This is a point which FSFE has been making consistently and with
some success in debates on public procurement.
