Hi all,

Just a brief update:

I'll be at FOSDEM (1-3 February) and would be very keen to meet any
Lumicall users or anybody interested in VoIP/RTC in general. Please
come (or encourage your friends to come) to our session in the main
track on Sunday:
https://fosdem.org/2013/schedule/event/free_open_secure_communications/
or the XMPP and telephony devrooms throughout the weekend.

A major overhaul of Lumicall was completed over the past weekend:

a) the registration process now works by exchanging an SMS with the
server instead of sending a missed call. This is proving to be much
less confusing for users

b) the phone no longer blocks (blank screen) during the ICE setup phase

c) IPv6 support is now disabled by default - many people found that ICE
setup is too slow with IPv6. It can be re-enabled in preferences.

d) previous updates over the last 3 months have removed other
instability issues that cause freezes in the UI

e) it also works better on low-end handsets now, with code for low-end
ARM CPUs included (e.g. the SILK 8kbit codec)

Regards,

Daniel
