Keine Angst - die beiden lokale sind im Zweifelsfall auch zu Fuß

Montag habe ich bei Dradio Wissen ein Interview zu "Geistigem Eigentum"
gegeben. Bin nicht ganz zufrieden, aber kann ja nicht immer gut laufen.

das nächste reguläre Düsseldorfer Treffen findet am 27.07.2011 um 19:30
CEST (MESZ) wieder im Brauhaus Fuchsjagd

im Herzen Ellers statt. Zwei S-Bahnlinien und und jeweils eine
Straßenbahn- und U-Bahnlinie, sowie Bushaltestellen sind von dort
fußläufig erreichbar.
Der Saal wurde nicht reserviert, sodass wir auch draußen sitzen können,
wenn es sich anbietet.
Die Erfahrung lehrt, dass wir sicherlich genügend interessante Themen
für intensive Gespräche finden werden.
Gäste sind wie immer herzlich willkommen.

Hallo allerseits,
Es war ja in der Vergangenheit oft die Rede davon, dass man mit Freier
Software seinen Lebensunterhalt schlecht bestreiten könnte. Das war schon
früher Unsinn, wird aber langsam wirklich absurd. Aktuell weiss ich von
wirklich vielen Unternehmen die Softwareentwickler, Paketierer usw usf suchen.
Alleine hier in der Schweiz weiss ich von konkretem Bedarf für:
- Java Entwickler für grössere Entwicklung als Freie Software
- PHP Entwickler im Bereich OpenERP
- C, Python, Fedora/RHEL Experten
usw usf. Und natürlich ist auch in dem Bereich wo ich aktuell hauptsächlich
unterwegs bin viel Bedarf. Insbesondere KDE PIM Kompetenz ist aktuell schon
fast eine Jobgarantie.
Eigentlich müssten alle Universitäten Ihre Studierenden darüber aufklären, was
in diesem Gebiet geht im Rahmen einer Orientierungsveranstaltung in den ersten
Semestern. Gibt es sowas wie "Karriereplanung in Freier Software" irgendwo? ;)

Hi,
on the 14. and 15. this week the Federal Ministry of the Interior and
the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology are hosting the 6th ODF
Plugfest in Berlin! The Friday is open to the public and we have a
number of very interesting presentations. Rob Weir is going to talk
about ODF 1.2 and 1.3. Charles Schulz, Jacqueline Rahemipour are going
to talk, as well as Ros Gardler from the ASF.
The German BSI is going to talk about security issues in document
exchange formats and Björn Lundell from Sweden presents his latest
findings in interoperability issues and loss of information, when
archiving electronic documents.
