Zusammen mit Jamendo suchen wir drei Bands, die zum “Ich ♥ Freie
Software”-Tag am Dienstag, 14. Februar 2012 zwischen 19 Uhr und 22 Uhr
im Unperfekthaus in Essen ein Live-Konzert geben.

Reise- und Übernachtungskosten sowie Catering werden übernommen. Ihr
müsst Euch also nur mit einem, schon bestehenden oder neu komponierten,
Song bewerben (gerne mit Bezug zu Freier Software), von einer
unabhängigen Fach-Jury ausgewählt werden und nach Essen kommen.
Deadline für die Anmeldung ist der *5. Dezember 2011*. Bitte beachtet

Achtung: Kein teilnehmendes Band-Mitglied darf Mitglied einer
Verwertungsgesellschaft, etwa der GEMA, sein. Für die Teilnahme muss
die Band über einen Künstleraccount bei Jamendo verfügen. Der Zugang
ist kostenlos, an keine Vertragslaufzeit gebunden, bindet die Künstler
nicht exklusiv und bringt für die Künstler keine weiteren
Verpflichtungen.
Schon vor dem Konzert finden während des Tages Veranstaltungen zu Freier
Software und Musik statt (was, wann, wo wird laufened auf der
Veranstaltungsseite bekannt gegeben). Lokale Bands und Musikerinnen sind
herzlich eingeladen, ins “Unperfekthaus” zu kommen und gemeinsam zu
jammen. Das Linuxhotel bietet Workshops zu Freier Software an.
Es wird Kuscheldecken für unsere Kuschelecken Schokolade, Luftbalons und
Aufkleber geben. Vielleicht gibt es ein Valentins-Programm für Kinder,
ein Liebesbrief-Wettbewerb auf dem Speakers’-Corner, ein Matratzenlager
imUpH,… Eurer Phantasie sind keine Grenzen gesetzt.
Wenn ihr Vorschläge für das Tagesprogramm habt, dann meldet euch bei

Im Februar 2010 hatten Leena und ich eine Mail [1] an den Elektrischen
Reporter verschickt und uns dort Berichterstattung über Freie Software und
benachbarte Themen gewünscht. Jetzt kommt die FSFE fiktiv mit dem Thema
Software Patente in einer utopischen Vision über 3D-Drucker vor [2]. Im Jahr
2023 redet der erdachte Aktivist Julian Augustin von der FSFE bei 12:00min
darüber, wie wir schon immer vor Software Patenten gewarnt haben, aber niemand
auf uns hören wollte.
Wer den ganzen Bericht [2] sehen möchte, fängt bei Minute 7:47 an.
In der Mail [1] wurde auch auf die Wichtigkeit von Dezentralisierung
hingewiesen. Dieser Aspekt kommt ebenfalls in der Folge [2] vor, denn am
Anfang geht es um (dezentrale) soziale Netzwerke.

Ich sehe ISO und DIN hier stark bestädigt, nach eigenen Standards hätten die
das OOXML so nicht zulassen dürfen.

Vermutlich ist OOXML auch genau so gestrickt, dass es nur sehr, sehr schwer
überhaupt von jemanden anders zu implementieren ist. Sprich, wer das
versucht, der spielt Microsoft in die Hände. Die richtige Lösung ist, dass
unerwünschte Formate halt nicht akzeptiert werden dürfen. Wenn ich in
Französisch meinen Polzeibeamten oder Bürgeramtsmitarbeiter anspreche, dann
lernt der ja auch nicht gleich Französisch, um mir helfen zu können.

Es kann auch gut gehen, wenn das anders läuft als bei dem ODF-Plugfest. Da
ging die Arbeit total in die richtige Richtung: Konkrete Probleme wurden
benannt an Lösungen gearbeitet, wie bei jeder sehr verbreiteten
Software-Lösungen. Nur die Presse macht daraus dann eine "Problematik".
Wenn er hier umgekehrt läuft, dann ist es gut: Die Presse lobt die Freie
Software, die Einkäufer und IT-Laien sind beruhigt und nutzen Libre und Open
Office. Und ob OOXML ist egal, weil das nur ein Haken auf der langen
Anforderungsliste ist. Genauso macht Microsoft das doch gerade mit ODF,
behaupten es ginge irgendwo, der Einkäufer macht den Haken und zack.
Natürlich geht es mit Microsoft absichtlich nicht richtig.
Also Daumen drücken, für mehr IT-Realismus.

Hallo,
bin gerade bei heise über
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/EU-Kommission-verteilt-10-000-Router…
gestolpert. Dabei geht es um ein 'Projekt', bei dem OpenWRT-Router an
Haushalte verteilt werden um irgendwie eine Art Breitbandatlas zu
erstellen. Sinn, Nutzen und Gefahr der Aktion einmal dahingestellt,
stellt sich mir die Frage, ob sie da nicht GPL verletzten. Immerhin ist
OpenWRT ein Linuxkenrel mit z.B. busybox etc.
