Falsch, das Posten auf dieser Liste behauptet den implizit (bzw. dessen FSFE-Relevanz - war das eine "offizielle" Veranstaltung, dort ein Stand, .... oder so?).
Ich bin nur davon ausgegangen, dass viele, die sich für Freie Software
Was Du nicht alles über uns - mich! - weißt/wissen willst/glaubst zu wissen (und die List unten hab ich gebrainstormt - das keine Liste meiner persönlichen Interessen).

Aber was hätte auch das alles auf einer ML der FSFE (ohne offensichtlichen direkten Bezug) verloren?
Da geht man besser woanders - je nach Thema/Interesse - hin, oder?
Ich hab ja nichts gegen minimale semi-off-topic Pointer, aber *irgendein* Bezug jenseits der persönlichen Betroffenheit sollte schon da sein. Der Weg ist ja nicht "jeder steht auf 3 MLs und forwardet alles kreuz und quer", sondern "es gibt MLs zu Thema X und jeder, der sich dafür interessiert, soll dort mitlesen".

Du hättest das gar nicht so umfangreich auszuführen brauchen. Wenn es Dich stört, reicht das schon. Es ist nicht überall gleich. An manchen Orten sind solche Querverweise durchaus allgemein erwünscht...
Und es war ja nicht die erste eindeutige off-topic Info auf dieser Liste. Ich habe aus dem bisherigen Mailaufkommen geschlossen, dass meine Nachricht durchaus im Bereich des Üblichen lag.

MMn. sollte es außerdem für alle Menschen interessant sein, wenn eine staatliche Behörde sich absichtlich jahrelang über geltendes Recht hinwegsetzt, anders funktioniert das mit Rechtsstaat und Demokratie ja leider nicht...

Vielleicht kann man die Info am Samstag am SFD brauchen...

Nein, warum? Wem die nicht passen, der kann sich ja rühren oder weggehen oder sich einen Tisch weitersetzen. Auf einer ML seh' *ich* das eher anders bzw. ist es nicht soooo einfach, dem temporär auszuweichen. Und es ist für *mich* auch eine Frage der Signal-to-Noise-Ratio der ML ..... K.A. wie das die "ML-Bosse" bzw "FSF-Bosse" sehen - ich bin nur einfaches FSFE-Mitglied und ML-Leser/Schreiber;-)

Zu weiter oben: FS/FSFE/OSS hat mbMn nur peripher mit "irgendwelchen" Schikanen/Machtmißbrauches/Autoritätsmißbrauches/Einschüchterung eines Polizisten gegenüber normalen Staatsbürgern zu tun - das passiert wohl öfters als es gut ist, daß Polizisten mit Halbwahrheiten irgendwas erreichen (wollen) - und um das ging es primär in den Meldungen. Das mag im Dunstkreis "der NSA-Sache" passiert sein, könnte aber sonstwo genauso passiert sein.
Wobei die (nächste und auch semi-off-topic) Frage ist, ob das der einzelne Polizist auf der Straße "von alleine" so macht oder ob es von intern über "Befehl von oben" direkt angeschafft wird (und sei es nur ein "verscheuchst die Querulanten hoit irgendwie fohn durt" ....).
Was sich halt leider keiner (im BMI bzw. Polizeihierarchie) überlegt: Mit jeder derartigen Situation (mit Halbwahrheiten agieren, die Dienstnummer nur widerwillig rausrücken, Personalkontrolle solange verschleppen, bis die Kavallerie kommt, ....), die in die Medien kommt, geht Autorität und ein wenig Glaubwürdigkeit *jedes* Polizisten verloren ....

Klar, offiziell das übersiedelt und umbenannt und ändern tut sich nichts - v.a wenn die Gschichtln der Internetanbindung wahr sind .... Funktioniert ja in der Privatwirtschaft auch schon mal;-)

Deren "Open Source" bezog sich lt. der "Presse" aber auf "öffentliche Information" udn soll wohl suggerieren, daß eh nur öffentliches abgreifen. Ah ja, und "Freie Software" ist ja nur ein kleiner Teil dessen, was manche unter "Open Source" verstehen/interpretieren wollen.

Wenn die Gschichtln einigermaßen wahr sind, daß sie Code dort reinkriegen, dann seh' ich kein Grund, warum das nicht gehen sollte - die NSA unterschreiben auch ein NDA und die Schlipsträger sind befriedigt. Der NSA nimmt man ein NDA eh noch am ehesten ab;-)
