Hallo,
Dieses Jahr findet am 24./25. November 2012 das dritte Mal das Linuxwochenende im Wiener Metalab statt. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Vortragswochenende rund um Linux und Freie Software.

Die thematischen Schwerpunkte des Linuxwochenendes liegen in den Bereichen Systemadministration (zum Beispiel: Datenbanken, Serverfarmen, automatisierte Installationen, Backup, Verzeichnisdienste, praktische Software, ..), Entwicklung (zum Beispiel: Programmiersprachen, Libraries, Sourcecodemanagement, Tools, ...) und coole Hacks (zum Beispiel: Linux auf der Microwelle, ...).
Ungeachtet des Namens richtet sich das Linuxwochenende an Benutzerinnen und Benutzer von Freier Software im allgemeinen und nicht ausschliesslich an Linux-Begeisterte.
Zielgruppe sind Geeks, EnthusiastInnen, AdministratorInnen, EntwicklerInnen und natuerlich auch solche die es werden wollen. Wir suchen Vortragende, die mit ihrem Vortrag gerne diese Zielgruppe erreichen wollen.
Vortraege koennen bis 28. Oktober 2012 im CfP-Manager eingereicht werden:

Es besteht die Moeglichkeit sowohl 40-minuetige Vortraege als auch 5-minuetige Lightning-Talks einzureichen.

Ja, ist es leider. Wir sind aber keine Konkurrenzveranstaltung und wollen natürlich keine sein. Nichts gegen das westliche Ende von .at, aber das östliche Ende - bzw. 50km davor - ist doch geographisch eher weit weg. Ich weiß nicht, ob wir uns da überhaupt in die Quere kommen. Akut fällt mir nur ein Gsiberger ein, der an und zu mal in Wien ist ....

naja ich hab letztes jahr schon den einen oder anderen in voradelberg getroffen den ich sonst auch in wien oder graz auf solchen events treff..
aber es is wie es is, und termine finden is immer schwierig wie wir alle wissen.
