Ahoy hoy Lists and fellow fighters for Software Freedom,
this is a very joyful occasion for me to write to all of you: In November of this year, there will be a whole day (maybe even two) devoted to Free Software. We (a couple of friends from fhLUG and me, that is) are currently planning a Software Freedom Conference (name undecided) to take place at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Hagenberg Campus (see OSM[0] for exact location).
This isn't a call for participation just yet, but rather a call for input: First, if you'd like to suggest a name, please do so. We'll probably end up calling it "Free-as-in-Freedom-Days", "Free-Software-Days" if we can't come up with a hip, trendy and cool name for it. Second, we are currently looking for the exact date. The two candidates are November 7th and 8th, 2014 or November 14th and 15th, 2014. If you know of any other events around that time that could potentially conflict with ours, please tell me and we'll take them into consideration.
Other than that, I just wanted to make you all aware that something is coming. If you're interested in more details about the event or would like to offer any suggestions or help, please shoot them right at us. As soon as we have a date, we'll start approaching people for talks, workshops and general participation.
You can contact me at lfodh@fsfe.org.
Until the next time - stay free! Best, Simon

Both FSCONS and Linuxday Dornbirn usually take place around that time. While the two dates you state will most probably not conflict with the Linuxday, they will almost surely conflict with FSCONS. I'd suggest you try to find an earlier date (because later dates would conflict with christmas time).
Just my €0,02

While not yet announced, this year's FSCONS is scheduled for 31 Oct-2 Nov. We'll be sending out the CfP next week.
all the best, Stian
