Hallo Fellows,
aufgrund der Gründung der Linzer Gruppe hab ich etwas über die Kommunikation zwischen den Gruppen nachgedacht.
Dabei ist mir zum Beispiel aufgefallen das die Gruppenwikipages offenbar nur auf der lokalen Sprache sind (Oder ich hab was übersehen). Wollte mich zB über die slovenische Gruppe informieren, aber da ist nur "English" als Auswahl aber mit slovenischen Text :(
Wien scheinbar hat nur Deutsch, wenn meine Prüfung vorüber ist versuche ich eine Übersetzung hinzubekommen. (Könnten auch mal ein neues Foto machen :))
Gibt es eine Europakarte (zB OSM mit Markern) wo man die einzelnen Gruppen sehen kann?
Mich wundert es, dass es offenbar keine Gruppe in Bratislava gibt, nachdem es dort eine aktive BSD-Community zu geben scheint liegt es Nahe, dass es auch genug Fellows geben könnte.

Eine Karte hab ich im Fellowship-Wiki bisher nur bei den Events gesehen [0]. Vielleicht läßt sich dieses MoinMoin plugin auch zur Darstellung der Gruppen nutzen?

Hm, wenn das mit Events geht sollte sich das anpassen lassen können. Ansonsten könnte man eine OSM von extern einbinden, wobei das uU sicherheitstechnisch kritisch sein kann. Zumindest müsste man mal eine einheitliche Möglichkeit haben GPS-Koo zu Gruppen hinzuzufügen.

wer hat die Rechte in der FSFE die Anzahl der Fellower in einem bestimmten Bereich abzufragen? Kann mich erinnern das man an alle User an bestimmten Orten eine Mail schicken konnte aber aus Datenschutzgründen keine Liste der Leute bekommt, ist die Anzahl auch datengeschützt?

wer hat die Rechte in der FSFE die Anzahl der Fellower in einem bestimmten Bereich abzufragen? Kann mich erinnern das man an alle User an bestimmten Orten eine Mail schicken konnte aber aus Datenschutzgründen keine Liste der Leute bekommt, ist die Anzahl auch datengeschützt?
Soviel kann ich verraten: Die Anzahl der Fellows in der Slowakei ist einstellig.

Hm, woran liegt das? Glaub irgendwie nicht das es dort so wenig Leute gibt die es interessiert. Ist es die sprachliche Barriere? Oder gibts dort keine geeigneten Events?
Magst du Spoilern und verraten wo gute Chancen sind das vl mal eine neue Gruppe entsteht? :)

Die Linzer Wikiseite auf Englisch übersetzen steht bei mir ganz oben auf der Prioritätenliste, gleich unter „Wikiseite befüllen“ - momentan stehen nämlich immernoch die Infos zu unserem ersten Treffen dort.

Die Linzer Gruppe scheint ja sehr vorbildlich zu sein :) innerösterreichishe "Konkurrenz" könnte recht belebend sein für alle Beteiligten. ;) Die englische Version muss auch nicht so umfangreich sein wie die deutsche. Man sollte nur wissen wo/wann/wer sich so trifft und wo man (auf englisch) hinschreiben kann für mehr Infos.

Ich hab noch wo OpenLayers Code rumliegen mit einfachen Overlay Icons aus einer csv Datei, da könnte ich mal ein paar Orte händisch einfügen als Test.

Super. Allerdings braucht die Grafik eindeutig eine Kontour, da sie sonst über Grünflächen nicht mehr sichtbar ist.
Was codieren die Farbabstufungen? Die Mitgliederzahl? Dann hat Graz weniger Mitglieder als Linz? Oder liegt grau zwischen grün und ocker?

Jup ist mir auch schon aufgefallen, aber daran ist Österreich und seine ganzen Wälder schuld :D Hab auf die schnelle das Logo von der fsfe Seite ausgeschnitten, da war schon Transparenz drinnen. Das austauschen ist aber kein Problem.

Das ocker ist nicht so gut gewählt, gedacht ist es das grün aktiv ist, grau inaktiv und ocker eine neue Gruppe. Hab jetzt keine Ahnung inwiefern Graz inaktiv ist, hab nur was zum Testen gebraucht.
Wenn du auf ein Icon draufklickst wird dir eine Mininfo zu der Gruppe angezeigt.
Wenn ich Daten der Gruppen hätte könnte man auch recht einfach je nach Aktivität (wie auch immer man die bestimmt) und Größe Grauwert und Icongröße generieren.
Bin aber für eine eigene Farbe für Gruppen in Aufbau oder neue, damit erkennt man schnell wo sich grad was tut. (Auch wenn nicht so oft neue Gruppen entstehen)
