Ein wunderbar vorsätzlich verschandelter Satz. Zurück bleibt: Die ganze Fachsoftware läuft ja nicht auf Linux. Dabei sollte es heißen:
"nicht alle Fachverfahren sind auf Linux migrierbar"
Dann bliebe auch: Weitestgehend erfolgreich, aber ein paar Sachen gehen halt nicht.
Ganz toll ist auch:
Bei Windows wäre aber Edens Schätzungen zufolge überhaupt keine neue Software-Version erforderlich gewesen.
Nach meiner Erinnerung sind die doch zumeist von NT4 umgestiegen. Das wird doch schon seit 10 Jahren nicht mehr unterstützt.
Auch gut:
Demnach kostet der Betrieb ohne Lizenzkosten für zehn Jahre bei Microsoft niedrige, ermittelte 17 Millionen Euro, für Linux hingegen hohe 60,7 Millionen Euro.
Ich finde auch, dass man die Lizenzkosten einfach gar nicht aufführen sollte.
Im Übrigen: Gut das hier jemand noch das psychologisch gut wirksame "hoch" und "niedrig" hingeschrieben hat. Sonst bliebe ja gar nichts zurück.
Eine aktuelle wissenschaftliche Ausarbeitung widerspricht nun dieser Version.
Ich mag das. Wissenschaftlich. Also mit offenem Ergebnis. Dann ist ja alles in Butter. :-)

*aber*: Von Anfang an, mit der ersten Meldung war klar das diese Aussagen (Studie) keine Chance haben in der Öffentlichkeit zu bestehen. Ich verstehe den Sinn noch nicht, FUD kann es nicht sein, denn das können sie besser.
Ist es wirklich schon so schlimm um den Konzern bestellt, dass sie solche scheinbar ziellosen Rundumschläge starten?

M$ ist bereits am absteigenden Ast - wenn es nach mir ginge, müßte allerdings die Abstiegsgeschwindigkeit noch exponentiell ansteigen … und die Marktlücke nicht mit faulem Obst gefüllt werden.

nur ein paar Begriffe müßten noch ausgetauscht werden: statt "Open Source": "Freie Software" und statt "Closed Source" bzw. "kommerziell": "proprietär(e Software)"

^ +1. Es krankt doch an allen Ecken. Das die eingehen ist klar. Wichtig ist nur, dass an diesen Stellen gute Alternativen nachrücken und nicht nur der Name des prop. Anbieters wechselt.
