weil beim Treffen vor 2 Wochen auch eine Weile über die Wiener Linien und Open Data diskutiert wurde:

Klingt ja mal nach einem Schritt in die richtige Richtung, wobei man natürlich jetzt mal abwarten muss, was wirklich herauskommt (z.B. wie die APIs genau aussehen werden, etc.).

Ist wirklich lustig, aber die Wiener Linien scheinen erst auf Vorschläge von Außen zu reagieren wenn es politischen Druck gibt.
Wobei: Es hätte auch anders ausgehen können, wenn die Stadt Wien sich hinter die Wiener Linien gestellt hätte. Aber: Die ODG Initiative und das Verhältnis zum Grünen Regierungspartner dürfte wichtiger sein als die Interessen der Wiener Linien.
Ich mag diese Spiele. ;)
Klingt ja mal nach einem Schritt in die richtige Richtung, wobei man natürlich jetzt mal abwarten muss, was wirklich herauskommt (z.B. wie die APIs genau aussehen werden, etc.).
Vollkommen richtig, und auch wann es *wirklich* funktionieren wird. Bis Sommer bedeutet bei mir, bis Juni/Juli => das kann wirklich knapp werden das ganze Setup zu machen wenn man bis jetzt nicht damit gerechnet hat (von Seiten der Wiener Linien) das es so schnell kommen wird bzw. überhaupt kommt.
Es gibt aber Fellows, die diese Einschätzung präziser treffen können

Hm, was ich interessant finde ist, dass die in dem Blog-Eintrag so oft von "Rechtlichen Hindernissen" schreiben. Kann's vielleicht sein, dass die Wiener Linien selber gar nicht die notwendigen Rechte besitzen, um ihre Daten freizugeben? Wenn sie z.B. mit irgend einem externen Dienstleister einen Vertrag geschlossen haben, kann das durchaus sein ...

dem Beispiel folgend erwägt die ÖBB und die Westbahn nun auch selbiges zu tun :) Und in Graz wird es afaik ein CreateCamp geben.
Es wird spannend werden.
