I have read this report several weeks ago.  In general, I found that  
it pretty fairly characterized the FLOSS space and its use and  
applicability, not just in an Irish context, but globally.

It is strange to me though that they do not discuss who wrote the  
report or with whom in the FLOSS community they consulted.

But, as a result of this analysis, I am happy enough that Forfás has  
written this report and, as a result, I have forwarded it on to some  
other interested parties outside of Ireland.

Additionally, this report also gives me/us increased leverage in  
convincing organizations like Enterprise Ireland that they should pay  
closer attention to FLOSS in general, rather than only continually  
pushing old-school IP ideals.
