Hi Adam

The concept behind your work appeals to me. The creation of a knowledge
transfer network to enable the production, publishing and distribution
of learning and community media is rather important, especially in a
FOSS context.

I'm in contact with an educational board in Japan who are just starting
to build an eLearning framework for their school system. It will cover
around 100 schools, dealing with thousands of students. It would be
great if they could use FOSS systems to do this, rather than end up
using a closed system.

The Japanese challenge is rather unique, as FOSS alternatives are not
highly regarded. Companies are trusted to implement systems, and that
usually means a company placing their favorite closed product into
whatever projects they are involved with.

If you could get into contact with me, perhaps we can have a dialog
about how a proposal for a more open framework like what you chaps are
making can be pitched to conservative boards. My direct contact email
is shane at fsfe.org or shane at shaneland.co.uk.

Best regards

Shane
