My theory: 120 euros per year is just too much money.
If you're personally very committed to the cause, it may be worth it; but
most people are simply not *that* committed.
Even EFF allows membership at $25, and their average membership fee is
apparently $65. That's a lot lower.
(As for my excuse -- I haven't been living in Europe for several years
now. maybe when I get back. but then I'll have a wedding to fund, and
justifying a 3-figure donation to the fiancee under those circumstances
isn't so easy ;)
