The previous chairperson of the ISA, Cathal Friel, shot his mouth off
about free software in a recent celebratory supplement for Microsoft to
the Irish Times. When I raised an objection, it turned out he was speaking
without the authority of the ISA, and it was mildly embarrassed.

It's likely that Ms. Cullinan *is* touting the ISA's official line, but
it's worth asking.
