it's quite incomprehensible -- I think the quality of transcription wasn't
too hot.   But the speaker is clearly a very big fan of software patenting
(unsurprising: it's his job, as a patent attorney).  He doesn't like the
idea of requiring a "subjective" test for patent validity, claims that not
permitting software patents will send us back to the stone age, and ends
with a call for the attendees to contact their MEPs and ask them to vote
in favour of the McCreevey directive text.
