Hello everyone,

The first anniversary of IFSO is approaching us, and it is time for
our AGM. This is an opportunity for us to reflect on how the last year
went, and more importantly to plan for the coming year.

As discussed at the last meeting we intend holding the AGM on Friday
the 14th of January. We are hoping to get Georg Greve of FSF Europe to
give a talk, and hopefully make a major event of this (the talk will
also be announced separately, and will happen in conjunction with the
UCD netsoc).

We now need the membership to contribute the following items. Please
don't be shy about this, it is important that you do this, since it
will help determine the direction IFSO takes over the next year.

 * Nominations for the committee for 2005. There are at least three
committee positions: Chairman, Secretary and at least one general
member. There has been some discussion at past meetings of
expanding the committee, and this will be considered at the AGM.
 * Agenda items for the AGM.

I will accept committee nominations and agenda items until the end of
the year. Please send them, and any other comments or suggestions, to
me by email to this address.
