Betreff: Short report FrOSCon 2019

FrOSCon took place for the 14th time this year in St. Augustin near Bonn
and was again meeting point for many participants of the free software
scene of Germany (and beyond).

Booth report

The booth of FSFE was placed in the middle of other projects this year.
This lead to active exchange with other projects and almost the whole
time we had someone at the booth who we could inform about free software
and the work of FSFE.
Many people wanted to be informed about our latest campaign "Public
Money - Public Code".
This was also subject of Alexander Sander's presentation and showed in
action by the Prototype Fund who informed at our booth.

Talk report
Unfortunately the talk happened at the very end of the conference on
Sunday evening. Still, a couple of people attended and were very
interested. Some people of other NGOs or civil society groups like Open
Government Partnership as well as experts from Munich Limux project
participated and all of them supported our campaign and are trying to
raise awareness for our demand. It is always very motivating to have
such a ambitious audience. We will stay in contacts with new established
contacts and will try to find more supporters for our PMPC open letter.
So, even as it was the very last talk of the conference we would
consider it as a success. We will try to get another slot next year. You
can find the recording of this talk on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MggxiG0ONBk as well as on peertube:

- Please like and share it! You will also find pictures of the event in
our next newsletter.

Thanks to all the participants of our booth who again did a fantastic job!

Best,

Michael and Alex
