Sorry to follow up again, but at least this message is shorter! Previously,
I've noted the cult of "innovation" in academia, but I haven't provided bite-
sized pieces of evidence, so here we go:

Being "entrepreneurial" and commercialising ideas is basically background
music in academia these days. When they say commercialising ideas, they mean
patenting, of course, although you're not supposed to be able to patent mere
ideas, but anyway.
