That does not help.  You need to store the symmetric key (becuase you
won't be able to remember it) also.  For very similar reasons as with
public keys, symmetric keys need to be rotated also - no gain.

Modern private keys have a length of 32 bytes - that can be easily
printed and entered if need arises.
