Over 3.9 million users seems pretty successful to me.
I'm surprised that a member of a GPL drafting committees[*] was not
told where the AGPL is currently causing problems when being asked to
review a GPL that adds compatibility with it. Weren't the committees
given briefings on the current use of these licences? Didn't they ask?

This is more than a theoretical problem, so yes.

Maybe instead of trying "to use rhetoric" or surrendering, it would be
helpful to address the concerns or explain the reasons? Just a
suggestion.
