One of the main French newspaper Liberation published today an
article co-signed by Daniel Cohn Bendit and Frederic Couchet (APRIL, FSF):

http://www.liberation.fr/page.php?Article=190209 (in French)

For those of you who don't understand French, the text states very briefly
that the judgment of Microsoft by the European Commission will not change
anything. The fine is meaningless regarding the reserve of the software
multinational; and the 2 remedies will not help neither - on the contrary
it recognizes the monopolistic situation. Microsof has to give
informations so that the competitors could make interoperable products but
what if there is a patent on it?

This article is referenced on the cover of Liberation. Very good.
