Distributions warning

Just a warning about the GPL and distributions:

You may think it cool that you are being paid to work developing GPL
code as you get to keep access to your changes, but there is nothing
cool about this if the new work is not distributed publicly.

You may not have the right to distribute the work you have made as
copyright may belong to your employer; but unless your employer either
publicly distributes the work under GPL or to someone else who will make
it public under the GPL the changes you make will not necessarily be
available to you or anyone else.

My tip is to arrange to commit code changes back to a public repository
as often as possible.
