all of the symbols I have seen until now a very nice and
I am sure they can be used for some fsfe related matters.

Still all are symbols rather than a logo. There is too much
detail in the drawings so that they don't scale nicely.
For Logos simplicity and at the same time uniqueness 
is most important. And this is the reason why it is so
difficult to create one ;-)

As far as I see there is now a pool of good ideas for the
logo so perhaps someone would like to spend some time on making
a simplified and scalable image which still carries
the information and idea of the more complex drawings.

I would have tried but I must confess that I am no
artist at all :-(
