If you want to discuss concrete issues that span GNOME/KDE/etc., feel
free to use xdg-list at freedesktop.org - if you start causing too much
traffic there, and the content is worthwhile, we can split a separate
list. For now though xdg-list gets little traffic so may as well be
multipurpose.
