Because it has nothing to do with them?  In fact, I think they've both
decided most of their interface policies, often keeping to the
mistakes of the past, and it'll be difficult to change them.  Some of
us want to experiment and hopefully push the envelope a little.

If someone knows of a good general GNU GUI usability list or group,
please let us know.  I did ask earlier.
