No holidays, two news from France :

1/ Round table about free software
I'll participate to a round table about free software at the
end of August, behalf FSFE, during the 22th "Summer School of
the Communication" (Université d'Été de la Communication), at
Hourtin (near Bordeaux). The others speakers are IBM,
        Microsoft and Bull representatives.

It's a very important political meeting, with many
professional and political speakers (approximately 5 000
participants). During five days, it will be question of
techniques and networks, debates about research, education,
citizenship, trade, medias, regulation of the network, access
        to the knowledge ...

In 1997 at Hourtin, Lionel Jospin (French prime minister) has
announced an important governmental action plan named
        "Information Society Law".
