Alright, we'll keep it in mind. :-)

I don't know. The GNU kinda looks like the lion king with a GNU head
attached and it looks too "flat" afaic. For a logo it is also not too
good that it is on a blue background.
Besides that I think the people mentioning the possible problems with
using the European stars do have a point.

I like this one much better. But I fear that it'll be a little too
complex for a logo. Scale it down to a normal logos size and it
probably doesn't work anymore. But I wouldn't say that we cannot use
it at all... it might work very well as the background for some
things.

Personally I think it would decrease the quality of the picture to
increase the level of detail - and there is no strict need for
clothing. This has a strong tendency towards an "artistic" expression
of the whole concept and nudity is not a problem, I think.
The art of creating a logo is abstraction. The more abstract a logo
is, the better it is. Everything that's pictoresque will quickly wear
off in its attractiveness. So just a few lines that somehow make one
think of GNU/Europe/FSF would be perfect. Do that in a decent quality
and with one or two colors and we're set. Unfortunately creating
such good logos is pretty difficult.
Later,
Georg
