Dear all,
I noticed that the LicensingPolicy [1] page is missing in the wiki although quite a few pages refer to it. We also assume that people agree to this policy when hitting the submit button in the editor mask. I'm not sure this page ever existed but as FSFE we should provide such information ;)
FYI: Yesterday I did some major changes with the Web and Translation pages and moved a lot of content in the wiki. Nothing important should be lost but I reorganised some things. If you want to have a look: https://wiki.fsfe.org/RecentChanges
I'm not member of this list so please keep me in Cc if you want me to read a reply mail :)

I have to admit that it's a little bit embarrassing that we didn't find this on our own (and also that nobody before you asked about this issue)...
I think this puts us in a legally awkward position. While I doubt that anybody has an actual problem with us adding a CC license (or something similar) as the LicensePolicy page, we probably need to ask all wiki contributors for their consent.
@Team: I would be very grateful for advice on how to proceed...

Done ;-)

I completely agree. I don't think anyone would mind, but we should be cautious legally and also because we tell people to pay attention to proper licensing.
Happy hacking! Florian

What are the best options we have to request an approval from everyone who is contributing/has contributed to the Wiki?

IIRC the original wiki had a licence disclaimer granting FSFE full rights to do whatever with the promise to behave.
I only remember because I once proposed to change it.

Dear all,
Additionally to the missing Licensing information in our wiki, the website's source also seems to lack some necessary information [2], at least in a detectable format compliant with contribution policies of large employers. I'm flagging this here because I believe it's a team decision how to license our code and content.
Looking forward to comments and suggestions!

Maybe we can solve this issue at the community meeting? I've also suggested it as an agenda point to the GA, but I'm not sure if it fits.

Dear all,
This is not the first time team@ has discussed licensing issues with our own content. I recall myself and Paul raising issues with the licensing of our JavaScript when Karsten was still president; Max has raised issues with the licensing of our CSS files in the past; Hugo has raised problems with the licensing of some photos on our web page; Matija has proposed converting our verbatim-copying licence to CC-BY-SA. All these discussions contained points relevant to the formulation of a licensing policy and a possible relicensing of any content. As such, I ask you to put the present discussion on hold until next week. Meanwhile, I will summarize the previous discussions in their relevant parts and outline a few proposals that could form the basis of a future licensing and contributions policy.
Cheers,
