Hi Hesa, Hi Stian,
I also had this problem. If you fix it, can you just upload the files to http://wiki.fsfe.org/Audio-video so we do not have the migration in a few weeks? And than you can link to this page (create a section or a own page in the wiki with the torrents).
Please do not add stuff to fsfe.org any more (beside blog entries and if necessary news) as we will remove that soon.
(If you cannot upload the torrents to the wiki, please write an e-mail to fellowship-hackers@ if they can enable upload of .torrent files.)
Thanks, Matthias
Hi Matthias,
As I mentioned in Chitchat, the torrent files unfortunately seems to be served wrongly by the server, something that probably could be solved by making the server (or perhaps the publishing system) recognize the file/mime-type. I seem to remember that it actually worked when I uploaded the first batch several months ago, but as it is now, any uploaded torrent file does not match the original when I re-download it.
As for getting the torrent files on to the wiki, it should not be a problem with the latest batch. They are all available at http://winner.ituniv.chalmers.se/~stian/FSCONS-2007/ along with the videos. I can't guarantee that I'll have time to republish them this week, but will look at it next week if that is an acceptable time frame and no one else have done it in the meantime.
I do not have the torrents for the first batch though, but if I have understood correctly how the tracker works they should all be on that server (http://tracker.fsfeurope.org:6969).
all the best, /Stian

The following information was collected:
Subject: FSCONF 2007 torrent
Message: The torrent files of FSCONF 2007 http://www.fsfe.org/en/advocacy/audio_videos/fscons_2007
always give this problem when I launch torrent client:
"problem getting response info CRC check failed"
What's the problem? (I can download other torrents, so it's not my fault...I suppose) There's any other place where I can find these videos?
Thanks for info, bye Federico

Ah ok, strange.

You can also upload the torrents to http://download.fsfeurope.org/ (please ask Jonas to give you an introduction how to do this). And just put links to it in the wiki.
I do not have the torrents for the first batch though, but if I have understood correctly how the tracker works they should all be on that server (http://tracker.fsfeurope.org:6969).
I have not seen any .torrents there.
Best wishes, Matthias
Hi Stian,
any news here?

Sorry Matthias, I haven't been able to prioritize it. I'm not sure whether I will this week either, but most probably next week.

It just crossed my mind. I'll have a look at it tomorrow.

The torrents for FSCONS 2007 are now available on http://download.fsfeurope.org/torrents/ and I have made a wikipage with all links at http://wiki.fsfe.org/FsconsVideos2007
