"La Free Software Foundation Europe achève son processus de création"
(Hambourg) Le processus de création de la Free Software Foundation Europe, organisation soeur de la FSF, la plus ancienne et proéminente organisation du Logiciel Libre (Free Software) au niveau mondial, s'est terminé aujourd'hui. Avec une visite chez le notaire à Hambourg, Allemagne, Georg C. F. Greve, coordinateur et Président de la Free Software Foundation Europe, a achevé l'étape finale, le mardi 24 Avril 2001.
« La FSF Europe a officiellement commencé ses activités le 10 Mars 2001, mais achever les étapes formelles nécessaires pour la création a pris un peu plus de temps, étant donné que le noyau de l'équipe est disséminé dans 4 pays européens » a déclaré C. F. Greve. « Le plus grand obstacle a franchir a été de créer une structure légale qui nous autoriserait à être présents dans tous les pays, en dépit du manque d'harmonisation des lois pour les associations à échelle européenne. »
La Free Software Foundation Europe a une structure semblable à celle d'une roue avec un pivot se situant en Allemagne et possédant des organismes locaux dans les pays Européens. La création de la "FSF Europe - Chapitre Allemagne" s'est achevée avec celle de l'organisation centrale. La création de la section française devrait se terminer sous peu.
