1. Joyeux anniversaire, FSFE
Le 10 mars 2001, la Free Software Foundation Europe démarrait son activité. Pendant ces cinq années, une quantité de travail fructueux a été rendue. La FSFE est non seulement devenue en Europe la principale partie prenante du Logiciel Libre au niveau national, européen et des nations unies, elle a également réussi à développer une vaste communauté virtuelle pour la liberté dans l'ère numérique avec la Fellowship.

2. Pablo Machón et Xavier Reina rejoignent l'équipe de base de la FSFE
La Free Software Foundation Europe continue d'étendre ses fonctions comme sa présence géographique: Pablo Machón et Xavier Reina rejoignent l'équipe de base de la FSFE. Ils ont tous deux contribué à un précieux travail depuis des années et se sont engagés à accroître les activités de la FSFE en Espagne.
3.Conférence sur la GPLv3 à Turin
La FSFE a organisé une conférence à Turin, où Richard Stallman a parlé de l'avenir du Logiciel Libre et des changements effectués sur la prochaine version 3 de la GNU GPL (General Public License). L'événement a été bien accueilli, avec un vif succès auprès du public, et ceci grâce à la collaboration du Politecnico di Torino, de NetStudent and Hipatia. 4. GNUvox, la voix du Logiciel Libre en Italie
Le Chapitre italien de la FSFE a lancé le projet d'améliorer la communication et l'information sur le Logiciel Libre en italie. Le but est de faire passer le message "Logiciel Libre, Société Libre" au-delà des limites de la communauté du Logiciel Libre. La première étape de ce projet est le blog GNUvox.info, une source d'information quotidienne sur le Logiciel Libre en Italie.
5. Communiqué officiel de la FSFE sur le système des brevets en Europe
Ciaran O'Riordan a rédigé la réponse de la FSFE au questionnaire de la Commission européenne sur le "système des brevets en Europe" qui a été distribué. Celle-ci est maintenant en ligne :

La deadline pour la soumission des réponses a été prolongée jusqu'au 12 avril, aussi la FSFE encourage les supporters de la FSFE à faire de même - en se basant si possible sur les réponses de la FSFE.
6. La Fellowship de la FSFE participe à la LUGConference 2006
LUGRoma a organisé l'un des meilleurs événements phare de ces dernières années en Italie. La Fellowship de la FSFE y a officiellement participé avec Stefano Maffulli. De nombreux autres Fellows étaient présents à la conférence, certains d'entre eux étaient aussi membres de LUGs. La conférence a permis à de nombreuses personnes de la communauté de se rencontrer et d'écouter les suggestions et les critiques. C'était le moment de discuter de la proposition du Fellow australien Stephan Peijnik (sp) pour une rencontre internationale et de trouver des volontaires pour l'oganisation de cet événement.

7. Karsten Gerloff à la conférence TACD
A Bruxelles, Karsten Gerloff a représenté la FSFE lors d'une conférence sur "la politique et l'idéologie de la propriété intellectuelle". L'événement a été organisé par TACD - Trans-Atlantic Consumer Dialogue (Dialogue Trans-Atlantique du Consommateur), un forum de 65 associations de consommateurs d'Europe et des Etats-Unis. Pendant deux jours, des chercheurs et des activistes ont discuté du contexte intellectuel des droits d'auteur et des brevets. Karsten a établi de nouveaux contacts et a renforcé les liens avec d'autres ONGs qui oeuvrent pour l'Accès au Savoir aux côtés de la FSF Europe.
