1. Assemblée Générale à Vienne, Autriche
L'assemblée Générale de la FSFE s'est déroulée le 7 mai 2005 à Vienne en Autriche. Il s'agissait de résumer les activités de l'année écoulée et de planifier le travail pour l'année à venir. Vu que la deuxième période électorale du comité exécutive étendu de la FSFE arrivait à terme, il a présenté le résumé des deux ans. L'assemblée générale a félicité le comité de son excellent travail et a réélu le comité exécutif étendu à unanimité.

2. Rencontre de l'initiative "Access to Knowledge" (A2K) à Londres, RU
L'initiative A2K trouve son origine dans l'actuel débat sur la réforme de l'Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle OMPI. Le 12 et 13 mai, des représentants de diverses initiatives de société civile, d'universités et de gouvernements ainsi que des activistes indépendants se sont rencontrés pour discuter d'un éventuel traité sur l'accès au savoir ("Access to Knowledge", A2K) à proposer aux Nations Unies. Georg Greve y a participé comme représentant de la FSFE et a apporté des informations sur des questions comme les Logiciels Libres, les brevets sur logiciels et des standards ouverts. Il a aussi présidé la session sur "Authors and Performers" (auteurs et artistes). Le traité A2K sera une base importante pour réellement transformer l'OMPI en une "Organisation Mondial des Valeurs Intellectuelles".

3. Listes de distribution pour des discussions en roumain
Après avoir traduit plusieurs pages du site Web de la FSFE en roumain, Adi Roiban s'est porté volontaire pour gérer une liste de distribution sur les thèmes autour les Logiciels Libres en roumain (fsfe-ro at fsfeurope.org) ainsi qu'une autre liste sur les Logiciels Libres dans l'éducation en Roumanie (edu-ro at fsfeurope.org). La FSFE héberge avec plaisir ces listes parmi ses nombreuses listes de distribution sur les Logiciels Libres.

4. LinuxWorldExpo à Milan, Italie
Beaucoup de membres de l'équipe italienne de la FSFE étaient présents à la foire "LinuxWorldExpo" de Milan. Stefano Maffulli a tenu une conférence sur le Fellowship et a participé dans une table ronde sur les standards ouverts et les Logiciels Libres. Alessandro Rubini a parlé sur les "Violations de licences et manque de documentation" dans le développement de Logiciels Libres; il a aussi présidé la session "Linux pour les systèmes emboîtés". Emmanuele Somma de l'équipe italienne a parlé sur l'adoption de Logiciels Libres par des institutions financières et Free Ekanayaka a présenté le projet Agnula. Grâce au travail de l'équipe et des volontaires italiens, le plus grand montant de dons jamais récolté lors d'un évènement en Italie fut atteint.
5. "Linuxwochen Wien" à Vienne, Autriche
"Linuxwochen Wien" (Semaines Linux Vienne), le plus grand évènement autrichien de Logiciels Libres, s'est déroulé du 24 au 27 mai. Karin Kosina a ouvert la semaine avec une keynote le 24 mai et a tenu une conférence sur l'importance du terme "Logiciel Libre" le 26 mai. Le 25 mai, Georg a tenue la keynote pour la journée "B2B et administrations publiques". Les deux ont aussi participé à diverses débats d'experts.
6. Conférence sur les brevets logiciels à Udine, Italie
Les membres de l'équipe italienne Stefano Maffulli, Alessandro Rubini et Fabrizio Veutro ont participé comme orateurs à la conférence sur les brevets logiciels organisée par l'université d'Udine. Des membres de l'université ont organisé cet évènement pour contrer les efforts en cours durant les activités universitaires pour pousser la brevetabilité illimité.
7. Alessandro Rubini à Bologne
Le 20 mai à Bologne, durant un cours organisé par le Prof. Renzo Davoli pour l'obtention du "Master in Tecnologia del Software Libero e Open Source", Alessandro Rubini a parlé sur le modèle économique du développement de Logiciels Libres.
8. FSFE très active à Bruxelles
Ciaran O'Riordan, le représentant permanent de la FSFE à Bruxelles, collabore toujours étroitement avec la FFII sur les questions de brevets logiciels. Il a rencontré plusieurs membres du Parlement Européen et a établi de bons contacts avec la presse comme par exemple avec le magazine allemand "Der Spiegel" et le "Wall Street Journal Europe". Il a aussi organisé une Freedom Party le 2 juin à Bruxelles où des compagnons de la FSFE et d'autres amis des Logiciels Libres se sont réuni pour célébrer ensemble la liberté digitale.
9. Freedom Party à Berne, Suisse
Guillaume Tux, organisation associée de la FSFE, a organisé la première Freedom Party à Berne le 21 mai. Même petite, la soirée a réuni environ 25 personnes venant de toute la Suisse. Myriam Schweingruber, présidente de Guillaume Tux, a expliqué le travail de la FSFE et a présenté le Fellowship et sa carte de cryptage. Alex Schroeder, vice-président, a rappelé l'importance pour les Suisses - même en tant que non-membres de l'Union Européenne - de collaborer activement avec la FSF Europe dans des questions aussi importantes que les brevets logiciels, les monopoles de logiciels propriétaires et beaucoup d'autres.
10. La FSFE cherche un nouvel interne
Karsten Gerloff, l'interne de la FSFE, vient d'entamer son dernier mois de collaboration. Son travail consiste à la gestion de la plupart des activités du bureau de la FSFE, de promouvoir le Fellowship et d'assister Georg Greve dans le bureau de Hambourg ainsi que parfois durant ses voyages. La FSFE cherche quelqu'un pour lui succéder aussi vite que possible.
