Janvier a regorgé d'activité aussi bien pour la base de la communauté que sur des sujets variés comme la législation du Logiciel Libre. Les groupes de la Fellowship de Berlin et de Düsseldorf sont très actifs, ce dernier prévoit même de s'étendre aux villes avoisinantes dans les prochains mois. Pendant ce temps, la FSFE et gpl-violations.org ont renforcé leur partenariat afin de s'assurer du bon usage des Logiciels Libres en Europe.
C'est un bon moment pour s'impliquer davantage avec la FSFE et la Fellowship, en particulier si vous êtes intéressé par la promotion des activités locales avec des personnes partageant le même état d'esprit concernant le Logiciel Libre, ou de nouveaux membres de la communauté. 1. GPL-violations.org et la Freedom Task Force de la FSFE prévoient des actions communes
Le 31 janvier, les représentants de gpl-violations.org et de la FTF de la FSFE se sont rencontrés à Berlin pour discuter du futur du respect des licences en Europe. Harald Welte et Armijn Hemel ont évoqué l'avenir glorieux du projet gpl-violations.org avec Shane Coughlan, qui représentait la FSFE. Le docteur Till Jaeger a participé sur un des sujets et apporté sa connaissance considérable en matière de droit. GPL-violations.org et la FTF de la FSFE ont décidé de travailler ensemble afin d'assurer le bon usage, la compréhension et la responsabilité lors de l'emploi des licences Libres.

2. NLnet réaffirme son soutien à la FSFE's Freedom Task Force
La première étape de la FTF fut possible grâce au soutien de la fondation NLnet, basée aux Pays-Bas. Aujourd'hui, les réseaux légaux et techniques de la FTF couvrent seize pays européens, comprennent plus de soixante-dix membres et disposent de contacts aux Etats-Unis, au Canada, en Australie, en Korée du Sud et à Taiwan. La FTF dispense des formations en Suisse en coopération avec Digicomp, en Suède avec l'Internet Academy, et aux Pays-Bas avec ATComputing. Aujourd'hui, après à peine douze mois de croissance continue, NLnet fournit un second cycle de support financier à ce projet innovant et juridique.

3. Réunion de la Fellowship de Berlin
Le groupe de Berlin de la Fellowship s'est retrouvé comme de coutume au Newthinking Store et ont écouté Hannes Hauswedell à propos du système d'exploitation libre BSD. La discussion s'est concentrée sur les variantes de BSD en tant que systèmes d'exploitation alternatifs ainsi que sur les règles des projets BSD concernant l'adoption de Logiciel Libres.
Si vous désirez vous joindre à la fête, sachez que le groupe de Berlin se rencontre chaque second jeudi du mois au «Newthinking Store, Tucholskystr. 48 à 10117 Berlin.»
4. Réunion de la Fellowship de Düsseldorf et calendrier des événements à venir
La Fellowship de Düsseldorf s'est réunie comme de coutume et a débattu de ses projets. Parmi ceux-ci, une discussion très intéressante et constructive a eu lieu, concernant la tenue d'un kiosque lors de la fête du travail du 1er mai à Düsseldorf. La Fellowship partagera ce kiosque avec d'autres associations. Chaosdorf e.V. (le groupe local du CCC, http://www.chaosdorf.de) pourrait en faire partie. La Fellowship a aussi prévu des rencontres dans d'autre villes comme Cologne et Roermond/NL afin de renforcer le lien avec les autres Fellows.

5. Réunion de la FSFE à Göteborg, Suède
L'équipe suédoise de la FSFE a organisé une réunion pour les personnes intéressées par les activités de la FSFE le 28 janvier dernier. Certains des sujets abordés ont porté sur la publication des enregistrements vidéos pris lors de la FSCONS de décembre et, plus généralement, autour du traitement des vidéos.
6. Concours SELF «Documentaire Libre»
Le projet SELF (Science, Education and Learning in Freedom) a annoncé un concours «SELF Open Documentary Contest» qui invite les personnes comme les entreprises à «créer un documentaire à propos de la création de la connaissance "libre" et de l'éducation dans l'ère numérique». Le concours est ouvert jusqu'à fin mai 2008 et les gagnants seront présentés lors d'une conférence du SELF en Espagne en juillet 2008.

7. Conférence de Richard Stallman sur la philosophie et l'histoire des Logiciels Libres, Berlin, 18 février 2008
Le lundi 18 février à 19 heures, Richard M. Stallman, fondateur du projet GNU et de la FSF, donnera une conférence au mediacentre - Atrium, Johannisstrasse 20, in 10117 Berlin-Mitte. Il parlera de l'histoire et de la philosophie du Logiciel Libre. La Fellowship de Berlin y aura un stand et informera les visiteurs des activités locales ainsi que du travail de la FSFE en Allemagne et en Europe. Les portes ouvrent à 18h30 pour un prix de cinq euros par personne.
8. Préparation du FOSDEM, Bruxelles, 23 et 24 février 2008
Nombreux sont ceux qui se préparent pour l'excursion de la FSFE au FOSDEM. Comme les années précédentes, la FSFE a obtenu un grand stand à l'entrée principale. FOSDEM est un des deux plus grand événements du Logiciel Libre où les membres, les amis et les employés de la FSFE peuvent se rencontrer et échanger avec le reste de la communauté du Logiciel Libre. C'est aussi l'occasion d'acheter des t-shirts et autres objets de la FSFE, et de rejoindre la Fellowship que nous avons institué au FOSDEM de 2005.
Si vous passez par là, faites-y un saut pour nous dire bonjour ! FOSDEM est un véritable évènement communautaire, en entrée libre (et gratuite) mais vous pouvez effectuer un don si vous le désirez.
9. Conférence «Standards et l'avenir d'Internet», Genève, 26 février 2008
Shane Coughlan, le coordinateur de la Freedom Task Force de la FSFE, animera un débat d'experts sur les licences à la conférence «Standards et l'avenir d'Internet» se tenant à Genève, en Suisse, les 26 et 27 février au Centre International de Conférence, avec la participation de Vint Cerf, Carlo Piana, Thomas Vinje et Jeremy Allison.
10. Conférence sur le Secure Shell (SSH), Düsseldorf, 27 février 2008
Patrick Haehnel animera un débat avec la Fellowship de Düsseldorf le 27 février. L'intitulé est «Oubliez le couteau suisse ! - Secure Shell - trucs et astuces».
