Dear Hannes Hauswedell and Jan-Hendrik Peters,
I would like to translate PDFReaders.org to Hungarian. If you are interested, please provide me the exact details in your reply on how to do it.
Regards, Bence Ur
Hi Bence Ur, thanks for your offer!
We use webgen to create html files, it the most comfortable way for us would be when you translate our webgen source files.
You can find them here:
http://pdfreaders.org/sources/index.page http://pdfreaders.org/sources/graphics.en.page http://pdfreaders.org/sources/about.en.page
Please change the country code, and send them back to us, so that we can add them.
Thanks in advance,
HennR

Hi HennR,
I finished the translation! I used some terms from the http://www.fsfeurope.org/contribute/translators/wordlist.en.htm translation helper page where it was necessary. I checked the final text with OpenOffice to corrent grammar errors, but only me reviewed the text.
Two questions: the "Graphics" option in the menu is not so expressive, why not say "Support us"? I translated the "Graphics" as "Support us".
What do you mean exactly by "Other proprietary alternatives to Adobe's PDF reader also exist, but like it, their internal working is a a trade secret and these programs do not respect your right to control your own privacy and data." ?
Do you mean that even if the author of the software claims that the program respects my privacy and my data, it may not true, because the program is closed source? But what if multiple sources tested the program, and it really does what is says?
Regards, Bence

Henner, will you reply to him, seeing that you did so previously?
I suggest we politely object to the renaming of "Graphics" to "Support us" though.
And btw, shouldn't translations go to translators@? Should we perhaps ask the volunteers to send it directly there? Or maybe we do not have Hungarian, Romanian, Chinese, etc. translators at translators@ at all, which would make it essentially pointless? Or would it? I'm still wondering... ;-)
all the best, /Stian

I'd like to forward the translations to translators@ for proofreading and after that, add them to our site.
So we have to work out the details here, and not the guys on translators@
