I just browsed wikipedia, and look what I have found:

they are using a dirty PDF symbol ;)
I would say that we should try them to replace their logo with one of our small logos that the readers (file browsers) should also use.

Yes. Fortunately, the symbol does not link to Adobe though.

I would love to see that, but at the same time I imagine that some parties might be hard to convince. There's one thing that puzzles me, however; it seems that the icon used by Wikipedia and many others is a modification of Adobe's own icon, something that they explicitly prohibit[1]. To use it on anything other than a web page is apparently not allowed either, so we should at least have a good case for file browsers.
