Briefe für PDFreaders für Deutschland drucken

Hallölchen ! Seit Montag ist der "bug hunt" von pdfreaders.org fertig, und wir müssen jetzt daran denken, wie wir das mit den Breifen hinkriegen. Für Deutschland wurden 630 Institutionen mitgeteilt, was unglaublich gut ist, was aber viele arbeit jetzt repräsentiert. Wir haben gedacht, dass wir am besten eine neue MFA-Aktion organisieren könnten (Mail Folding Agents [1]), in der alle Briefe [2] für deutsche Institutionen von euch gedruckt werden würden. Dann würden wir die Fellows im Rheinland beteiligen, so dass sie die Briefe eintüten und zuschicken. Was haltet ihr davon ? Wäre es möglich/realisierbar ? Wenn ja, kann ich schon rheinland@ informieren ? PDF reader for Mac OS X

Hi, It is sad to see you recommend a PDF reader that hasn't been upgraded since 2005. It makes me wonder if you have even tried it since "The recommendations are based on ease of use and install and do not reflect the technical merits of the software itself." The available downloads are compiled for PowerPC architecture, which requires a translation layer called Rosetta. In the latest carnation of Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) this layer is not installed by default, which requires a massive download before you can run your new PDF reader. An unexistant recomendation is better than an uninformed one. A much better option would be to recommend skim [1] which was last updated in September and is provided for both architectures. -- Olle Lundberg [1] http://skim-app.sourceforge.net/

Hi! About your list of open PDF readers for mac: MuPDF isn't available for Mac OS X. Vindaloo hasn't been touched by it's author in the past 5 years, and the binarie that he offer on his website is only a ppc version. And can you explain to me how "preview" (the PDF viewer on MacOS) doesn't allow me "to control my own privacy and data"? Cheers.
