To Whom it may concern,
I would like to apply for a traineeship in Berlin at Free Software
Foundation Europe.
I graduated in philosophy in October 2015 and besides my studies I have had
my first encounter with open source software when I was writing my B.A.
thesis. I adopted an Ubuntu distribution, mainly for hardware reasons, but
then I discovered the Free Software philosophy and what is the project GNU.
For this reason I developed some experience in fixing laptop with Linux
based OS, not only for myself. I also learned more about how open source
software are used from companies during the month of February 2016, when I
was introduced to the platform "WebRainbow", developed by Hitachi System
CBT, an Italian IT enterprise.
I personally want to help you out to let people know what a free software
is and what the consequences of having access to source code are, aiming at
raising public awareness. I think that my communication skills gained
during the years, when I was working or organizing concerts, could be
better use for this goal. As you can see from my attached CV I have been
always fascinated by the potentiality of computers hardware and software,
trying to understand as much as possible the basic ideas that carry on the
technological development. This is another reason why I want to combine my
different skills for this target.
Thank you for your time reviewing my resume. I welcome the opportunity to
discuss in a personal interview my fit for the position, thus you can call
me at my phone number or via Skype.
Respectfully Yours,
William Zancan
