We are fortunate that nothing was sent to Canonical. The "invoice" was just a suggested item, but at the time Rainer warned that it was a problem nothing was sent. Unless Adriaan sent something over the weekend, that is still the status. That should mean that the solution is as simple as sending the text I had previously proposed.
