non ti posso dire molto, perché alcune cose che so derivano da fonti confidenziali.
Non tengo le parti di Eben, non tengo le parti di SFC, ma ti assicuro che nessuno è indenne da critiche. Solo che qualcuno porta i panni sporchi in piazza all'insegna del tanto peggio tanto meglio, altri cercano di lavorare nell'ombra, senza fare troppi casini, cercando di mediare e trovare soluzioni ragionevoli (soprattutto quando vedi compagni di strada che vanno a sbattere contro un muro), e vengono irrimediabilmente presi per loschi traditori, collaborazionisti o peggio. Se non in pubblico, almeno in privato. Quello che mi sono sentito dire di presenza e via email me lo tengo per me, la merda nel ventilatore non la tiro.
La storia del marchio non la so nemmeno io bene, SFLC ha pubblicato un comunicato che onestamente non mi ha convinto del tutto.
Altre cose su Hellwig vs. VMware che pure so le ho sentite in contesti che non posso discutere al di fuori di essi. Vmware ha una sua interpretazione, SFC un'altra, il contenzioso è su UNA particolare interpretazione, non è un terreno di scontro globale e non è il caso di mandarsi le bombe atomiche. Il che fa scopa con la tua osservazione TNT.
Vedi, da ultimo in proposito quello che ha pubblicato proprio oggi Red Hat (e che molto carinamente mi avevano fatto conoscere con anticipo, sia pure in embargo).
