Dear all,

I get back off holiday tomorrow, and following the talks at the DIY festival, I would like to organize a really basic free software evening.

I was thinking something rather format less, just a chance for people who use free software already to bring in their laptops for a show and tell. Those who would like to try using free software on their own machines, can some along and discuss installing or some baby-steps, talk and have a go, and just get to know some of the faces of people from different groups too. All with cake of course.

If any of the people from the festival would like to help organise the event, especially the non-technical people, that would be even more great, as I think that their perspective would be invaluable.

Also, if any of the women are interested in getting involved in the women's free software groups, can they get in touch : )

Just about these emails generally: if you would like to send an email to everyone on the list - click "reply to all." If you just want to contact the sender of the email (like me, or Sam) then click "reply." There are benefits of both of course : )

Best
