Ciao Fellows!
Con questa e-mail vorrei far partire una discussione su come i Fellows Italiani possano essere presenti e portare la voce della Free Software Foundation Europe al LinuxDay[1], che è sicuramente uno degli eventi più importanti della Community del Software Libero in Italia.
Visto che noi Fellows siamo distribuiti su tutto il territorio, dovrebbe essere facile organizzare degli stand di presenza a quasi tutte le città in cui si festeggerà il LinuxDay. Voi cosa ne pensate? Chi sarebbe interessato a contribuire?

In realtà noi organizziamo sia il Software Freedom Day, il 18 settembre a Perugia (già confermato, mancano solo pochi giorni all'annuncio), sia il LD a Cinisello in collaborazione con il Lifos, anche se l'evento è ancora in fase di organizzazione e definizione....
Certo non sarebbe male avere de i flyer ed altro materiale di FSFE da distribuire... da bravo Fellow, non mi dispiacerebbe fare un po' di promozione a FSFE

Ma in germania c'è il linux day? Come viene gestito? (mi interesserebbe fare un paragone con quanto avviene in'italia)

Pensi che potrebbero avere qualcosa in contrario?
Pensavo che i LinuxDay venissero organizzati dalle persone in loco nelle città e che ILS desse solo delle linee guida generali per creare un marchio comune, ma che non entrassero nei contenuti.
Non ho però assolutamente niente in contrario a contattare anche ILS. Prima però sarebbe meglio capire se c'è la voglia di farlo da parte dei fellows, altrimenti annunciamo una cosa che poi non riusciamo a realizzare.
Ma in germania c'è il linux day? Come viene gestito? (mi interesserebbe fare un paragone con quanto avviene in'italia)
Ma, in Germania c'è il http://www.linuxtag.org/2010/ Che è un evento unico e non distribuito come in Italia. Ma i Fellows in Germania sono attivi anche alla http://www.fosdem.org/2010/ anche se non è un evento in Germania e anche altre conferenze e incontri.
Si vede che in EU Centrale i Fellows si incontrano molto più spesso e questo fa nascere progetti molto interessanti per il mondo del Free Software. Ad esempio http://pdfreaders.org/index.it.html

non credo ci sia bisogno di chiedere il permesso. L'unico vero compito di ILS è quello di ufficializzare il giorno in cui si svolgerà il "Linux Day 20XY" e fare da nodo centrale per la distribuzione di informazioni ai FS/LUG. I quali sono liberi di impostare la giornata come meglio credono.
Se un permesso va chiesto, va chiesto agli organizzatori locali dell'evento (i FS/LUG/HAcklabs/...), che comunque dubito facciano problemi per distribuire un po' di materiale informativo. (forse il discorso cambia per la vendita di merchandising)

Daccordo con Giacomo... non essendo ILS un soggetto "attivo", ma solo un promotore della manifestazione (o almeno così hanno sempre dichiarato), penso che la cosa vada richiesta a chi fisicamente organizza il tutto, ovvero i gruppi locali coinvolti.

io ho chiesto alle persone coinvolte nella preparazione del LD qui a Trento e non ci dovrebbero essere problemi.
Io quindi do la mia disponibilità a portare un po' di materiale informativo al LinuxDay di Trento.
