FTF and gpl-violations release a guide to reporting and fixing licence
violations
FSFE's Freedom Task Force (FTF) and GPL-Violations.org today released a
guide to reporting and fixing licence compliance issues. This guide will
help users and developers to deal with license violation reports. It
explains how to make a report, what information is useful to include,
and offers suggestions for how projects or businesses can deal with
reports once they are received.
The guide is released as part of the strategic partnership between the
FTF and GPL-Violations.org, who work together to improve licensing
awareness and compliance in Europe. It is located on the new FTF
website, http://www.fsfeurope.org/ftf/, along with information on how
projects and businesses can get help with understanding Free Software
licences. Translations into several European languages will be made
available during coming weeks from the FTF website.
"The best way to solve compliance issues is to prevent them happening in
the first place", says Shane Coughlan, FTF Coordinator. "We work to
support this by educating the community at large. When problems do
occur, we want people to be able to share information and resolve them
effectively."

Ciao a tutti,
Conoscenze oxfordiane dell'inglese
non sono assolutamente un requisito :P
http://www.fsfeurope.org/contribute/translators/translators.it.html

==== Comunicato ====
FSFE annuncia uno sprint di traduzioni di 4 settimane
Europa, 15 dicembre 2008.
all'11 gennaio 2009.
in 26 lingue diverse.
appello a nuovi volontari.
attività senza obblighi a lungo termine. E' anche una grande occasione
per contribuire senza dover spendere denaro.
Interessato?
translators (at) fsfeurope.org.

Dear Fellows,
during our regular meetings in the Berlin Fellowship group we
discussed how PDF is a very useful format, but its usage often goes
hand in hand with promotion of proprietary software, even though
there are Free Software PDF readers. So we decided to do something
about it.
Over the past months we discussed with other Fellows across Europe
on discussions(a)lists.fsfe.org, what we should be doing. Together we
have set up an initiative for promoting Free Software PDF readers at
http://pdfreaders.org.
The idea is that web masters should have an alternative for the "Get
Adobe Reader"-Buttons, linking to pdfreaders.org to inform people
about Free Software PDF readers and where to find them. There are
several buttons for pdfreaders.org that can be used for this purpose
online at http://pdfreaders.org/graphics.html.
When people then visit pdfreaders.org, they will get some very brief
information about Open Standards and Free Software, and why they
matter - along with information about the Free Software PDF readers
and links for more information.
We hope that you will help us to put these buttons on all sites that
use PDF.
Greetings from Berlin,
HennR and Hannes

Ciao *
http://www.tekmote.nl/epages/61504599.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61504599/…
probabilmente ho capito male io. Le riporto quì di seguito:
Product characteristics:
1) Strong computing power:
[...]A patented method has been designed for efficient memory access.
[...]
4) security:
The homemade chip, which is developed by the corporation wholly and
enjoys high independent intellectual property rights, solves the
concerns with motherboard, and addresses the information safety risk
essentially; meanwhile, it settles virus problem through applying Open
Source Linux operating system; and by making use of hardware, it
materialized data transparency and encryption (customized encryption
algorithm) technologies so as that customers' private data were under
protection, thereby, it could be used in some areas for specific
confidential application.
Grazie e ciao
