Hi guys
I just wanted to talk a little about the FSFE fellowship conference in Italy next month. It's going to be happening in the same venue as SFSCon and will take place on the 11th of November.
Everything is happening in Bolzano. That's a town in North Italy. More details can be found here: http://sfscon.it/when-where
The basic schedule of the fellowship meeting is already set. The day will start with a workshop by Werner about the fellowship crypto-card. At 11am in the morning there will be a workshop on eZ Publish, the CMS used on the fellowship website. All the system hackers can get together and be geeky. Then we're going for lunch and (after a suitable overdose of pasta) we'll get back together for a special announcement by FSFE, a report by from FSFE team about everything that's happening in the organisation and then...
...wait for it...
...there will be a special workshop where we'll get together and talk about our emerging advocacy project. We want to improve the material available, to involve more fellows and to gather ideas for local Free Software engagement.
Obviously this day is going to take a lot out of us. The only rational way to deal with the stress is to all get together for a massive dinner where we'll try to eat everything in sight.
I do think this conference will be a great opportunity for everyone to get to know everyone else. Most of FSFE team will be available. On a personal level I'm also really excited about meetings fellows from around Europe.
If you are intending to come to the conference let me know, especially if you are interested in the advocacy workshop (as I'll be doing that). I'd like to have input about topics we might need to cover.
Regards
Shane
