A week or so ago there was the Computer Education Society of Ireland national conference 2008. One of the presentations was titled "Edubuntu & Open Source", and was given by a Gavin McCullagh. Slides from his talk are available at

I couldn't go to the conference, but I think the general topic of Free Software in education is an important one. Could we tempt Gavin along to a meeting to give his talk (or some more pub-friendly version of it), and discuss whether there's anything IFSO could/should be doing to promote Free Software in schools?
