hi,
this is an interesting read - this bit struck me in particular
"...The Directive would compel every member state to criminalise all violations of intellectual property that are deliberate and conducted in the course of a business."

I've written an analysis of the EuroDMCA (the EU draft directive on IP enforcement) which comes before the European parliament on the 11th September. It will have many interesting bad effects:
Great Article.
Can anyone confirm the Sep/11 date? The EP calendar says there is no plenary session on Sep/11: http://www.europarl.eu.int/plenary/cal2003_en.pdf
So is just the working-group (wording) vote? (like the Jun/17 JURI vote)
A html copy of the directve is at: http://ukcdr.org/issues/eucd/eucd.html
Info on the effects of this directive: http://www.eurorights.org/eudmca/WhyTheEUCDIsBad.html
Many anti-EUCD people say that this basically allows copyright holders to make up their own laws with respect to there works, thus ending "fair use".
