I am writing in connection with your organisation's recent response to the European Commission's questionnaire on the patent system in Europe. As a Euro Info Centre, part of a network set up by DG Enterprise of the European Commission, we have recently been appointed to undertake further surveys on the topic of Intellectual Property Rights and Patents.

It is clear from your website mailing list archives that you have quite a number of members who are interested in the area of patents. We would like to know whether it would be possible to alert them to the fact that we are looking for their views on patents, and to the fact that they can have an opportunity to influence future patent policy by completing the questionnaire.
I have attached a copy of the questionnaire for your review. I would appreciate if you could either distribute this questionnaire to your members, or ask them to contact us directly if they are interested in participating. The deadline for receipt of completed questionnaires is Friday 26th May. The completed questionnaires can be emailed to us at eic@corkchamber.ie or posted to the address below.
