Hallo Wolfgang,
ich bin letztens mit einigen Repositoires von Github zu Framagit gewechselt. Das ging sehr einfach. Die Doku ist dort leider oft nur auf Französisch. Einerseits eine gute Chance sein Französisch wieder aufzufrischen... :) aber an ähnlichen Diensteanbietern mit deutscher oder englischer Doku wäre ich auch interessiert.

ich finde auch, dass die Jungs und Mädels bei Framasoft einen top Job machen!
Es kommt wohl aus der Bildungsrichtung soweit meine Recherchen das ergeben haben. Das wäre doch mal was bei uns für die "Digitalisierung der Schulen": Statt iPad-, MS Office- und Facebook-Training die Funktion und den Aufbau von Freier Software und der dahinterstehenden Community zeigen :)
Zurück zur Frage: Leider habe ich ein solches Projekt bei uns bisher nicht gesichtet. Aber hey: es ist ja Open Source ;) Vielleicht wäre es eine Idee Gespräche aufzunehmen und die Übersetzungen voranzutreiben. Wäre doch auch ein schönes Projekt in der Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Nachbarn.
Falls jemand Interesse hat, bitte melden. Ich kann zumindest im Software-Bereich etwas beisteuern (z.B. Übersetzungen ermöglichen).

ich versuche, seit 2 Jahren ein Team für sowas zusammen zu bekommen. Bisher sind wir zu 3 und das reicht nicht.
Von der notwendigen Finanzierung ganz zu schweigen ...

Gibt es vielleicht technische Universitäten, bei denen FLOSS ein Thema ist, wo so etwas auf Interesse stoßen könnte und die nötige Finanzierung von Servern ggf. schon vorhanden ist?
Die Idee von Michael, als Gemeinschaftsprojekt auf das Vorhandene aufzubauen und zunächst Übersetzungen beizusteuern (am besten erst mal Englisch, wegen der Reichweite), finde ich gut.

warum "technische"? Die FreeSoftware-Bewegung ist nach meinem Verständnis erstmal eine soziale, keine technische. ;)
Aus einem kürzlichen Gespräch mit dem technischen Direktor des Computer- und Medienservice (CMS) der Humboldt-Universität Berlin kann ich sagen, dass dieser sehr aufgeschlossen bezüglich Freier Software ist.

Trotzdem habe ich Bedenken auf Spenden aus Haupteinnahmequelle zu setzen.
Im Rahmen des FrosCon-Programms wollen Hostsharing-Mitglieder gemeinsam mit anderen in einem der Projekträume nach Wegen suchen. Vereine, Genossenschaften oder andere Formen können gemeinschaftlich Infrastruktur getreiben. Wir wollen uns Gedanken machen, wie das rechtlich funktionieren kann, wie die Vermarktung aussehen könnte etc. Neben Hostsharing-Genosseninnen und -Genossen werden auch eine Gründerin und ein Gründer einer Genossenschaft in Belgien dabei sein [3], die Ähnliches wie Framasoft planen.

völlig richtig. Sowas funktioniert nicht ehrenamtlich. Framasoft ist ein professionelles Projekt und das muß es auch sein.
Fragen der Übersetzung oder ähnliches sind da völlig nachrangig. Entweder man findet eine vernünftige Finanzierung oder es geht nicht.
Bist Du sicher, daß hinter den Spenden keine Staatszuschüsse stehen? Ich meine die sind staatlich finanziert, aber ich kann nicht genug Französisch.

Vielleicht könnte man mit Übersetzungen ins Deutsche anfangen und sich später mit einem vergleichbaren Projekt abnabeln.

ich fasse mal zusammen, dass ein Interesse besteht etwas auf die Beine zu stellen.
Danke für den Hinweis zum Workshop im Rahmen der FrOSCon. Da schaue ich gerne mal rein. Generell bin ich der Meinung wir sollten Ressourcen zusammenlegen statt mit vielen Einzelprojekten zu starten. Sehr gespannt bin ich auf die Genossen aus Belgien. Ich denke wir sollten das Thema nach der FrOSCon hier noch einmal auf der Liste thematisieren.

der Workshop soll das Zeitraster des FrosCon-Vortragsprogramms übernehmen und zu einem Teil in Form eines Barcamps stattfinden. Im anderen Teil wird es wenige vorbereitete Themen geben.
Um 10 Uhr ist also Session-Planung. Wenn es zeitlich festgelegte Vorträge oder Diskussionsrunden gibt, melde ich mich gern nochmal hier.

Du kannst mich gerne als Teammitglied aufnehmen. Was ich in jedem Fall machen könnte sind Übersetzungen aus dem Englischen ins Deutsche. Französisch kann ich nicht.

Falls jemand Interesse hat, bitte melden. Ich kann zumindest im Software-Bereich etwas beisteuern (z.B. Übersetzungen ermöglichen).

Richtig, Übersetzungen von Framasoft, v.a. erst einmal ins Englische, fände ich auch super. Leider ist sehr vieles standardmäßig noch auf Französisch eingestellt, was natürlich Framasofts gutes Recht und verständlich ist, aber die Nutzung aus anderen Ländern erschwert.
Ich erinnere mich vage, dass vor einigen Jahren einmal ein größerer Übersetzungprozess von Framasoft im Gange war, auch einige FSFE-Übersetzerinnen waren daran beteiligt. Es wurden also bereits einige Erfahrungen damit gemacht, ich weiß aber nichts über die aktuellen Bemühungen.
