Hallo.
Am 26. September 2021 wird ein neuer Bundestag gewählt. Die Parteien wetteifern derzeit um die Gunst der Wählerinnen. Wir fordern, dass mit öffentlichen Geldern für öffentliche Verwaltungen entwickelte Software unter einer Freie-Software-Lizenz veröffentlicht wird. Wenn es sich um öffentliche Gelder handelt, sollte auch der Code öffentlich sein!
Noch ist vollkommen offen, wie die nächste Bundesregierung aussehen wird. Das ist unsere Chance! Wenn wir es jetzt schaffen, möglichst vielen Kandidierenden eine verbindliche Aussage zum Thema Freie Software abzuringen, haben wir gute Chancen, dass ein klares Bekenntnis zu mehr Softwarefreiheit Eingang in den Koalitionsvertrag der nächsten Bundesregierung findet. Um das zu schaffen, brauchen wir allerdings eure Hilfe.
Wir finden, die Zeit ist reif für verbindliche Vorgaben: Von allen bezahlter Code sollte für alle verfügbar sein! Public Money? Public Code!
Das ist der Plan zur Bundestagswahl: Gerade bei Direktkandidierenden macht es enormen Eindruck, wenn Menschen aus ihren Wahlkreis ihnen deutlich machen, dass ein Thema wichtig für ihre Wahlentscheidung ist. Wir werden daher gemeinsam mit euch die nächsten Monate nutzen, um Kandidierende zur Bundestagswahl sowohl per Mail als auch auf Social Media anzuschreiben. Wir wollen wissen, ob sie sich im Bundestag für Freie Software in der öffentlichen Verwaltung einsetzen wollen und wenn ja, wie das konkret aussehen soll. Je mehr Menschen mitmachen, umso stärker können wir uns Gehör verschaffen.
