Das ist eine andere Ebene von "klarkommen".
Der User will das Gefühl haben, dass er "alles machen kann". Was er nicht sieht oder was er für eine Gefahr für andere darstellt ist dabei irrelevant. So wie manchmal bei Senioren im Straßenverkehr. :)

Michael, deine Reaktion veranschaulicht eigentlich recht gut, was ich sagen will: wir Verfechter freier Software wollen es oft nicht einsehen, wollen nicht zugeben, dass "doofe" Leute mit Windows besser klarkommen. Und das hat nicht nur psychologische Gründe (weil sie mehr "Vertrauen" haben bzw. ein positives Vorurteil), sondern auch objektiv messbare Gründe wie eine "bessere" Benutzerschnittstelle. Alle Nicht-Fachleute, mit denen ich über freie Software rede, sagen mir dass im Grunde immer wieder.
Der erste Schritt bei jeder Überzeugungsarbeit muss sein, dies zuzugeben.
Und dann kann man den Hebel ansetzen: Ja, das "besser" habe ich bewusst in Anführungszeichen gesetzt, denn es sieht nur auf den ersten Blick "besser" aus. Windows ist *narrensicherer* und *bequemer zu bedienen* als Linux. Die Hersteller proprietärer Software verwenden den größten Teil ihrer Programmierer-Ressourcen in diese Werte, die bei freier Software unwichtig sind.
